The Hair Angels began in 2008 when two moms battled head lice on their own children.
The first, Hilary Scofield, discovered lice on her son. She quickly realized that she and her two girls had it, too. Hilary tried every known remedy there is, including over-the-counter products, mayonnaise and tea tree oil, but nothing completely eliminated the problem. Three months later, she was finally able to declare her family lice-free!
The second, Michelle Aloisio, was the smarter of the two! She immediately called a lice removal service to help her, and her daughter was lice-free a few days later.
Soon after, Michelle & Hilary were having dinner and the topic of head lice came up. They decided then and there that The San Gabriel Valley had a real need for a local lice removal service.
They knew that they couldn't start a lice removal business without proper training, so they traveled to Florida to train with the best. There they learned everything there was to know about head lice removal, and became certified in the Shepherd Method™, the most effective manual method available.
As demand for The Hair Angels services grew, they expanded into Northern California, Southern California, and Arizona. The Hair Angels is currently pursuing expansion into Colorado and Nevada.
